2013 NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country National Champion Chelsea Johnson enters her second year assisting head coach Steve Pfingsten and the St. Scholastica cross country staff during the 2015 season.
 
Johnson became St. Scholastica’s first-ever NCAA Division III National Champion last fall, winning at Nationals by 11 seconds. Johnson was named the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Year for her unbelievable 2013 season. In that season, she won her final six races of her collegiate cross country career, which included the Roy Griak Invitational, Pre-Nationals Meet, Brooks Invitational, UMAC Championship and Central Region crowns. Johnson won a program record eight races in total on the year.
 
Johnson was also named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA. The North Branch, Minnesota native is the only two-time NCAA All-American in program history.
 
While running track & field her senior season at CSS, Johnson became the first women’s indoor All-American by placing seventh in the 500m run at the 2014 NCAA Championships.
