Brad Vieths begins his seventh season as an assistant under Coach Deadrick in 2014-15. He joined the Saints in 2008 after serving four years as the Head Girls Basketball Coach in Cloquet, where his teams made the Section 7AAA semifinals three out of four years and were never ranked lower than fifth.
Prior to that, he served as the Head Girls Coach in Floodwood. Vieths, a graduate of Pillager Public schools in 1997, attended the College of St. Scholastica from 1997-2001 where he ran cross country and graduated with dual degrees in Elementary Education, and Broad Area Social Sciences with a Secondary Education Licensure.
Vieths also completed his M.A in Experiential Education through Minnesota State University-Mankato, his C.T.E through Bemidji State University, and is currently working on his Education Specialist Degree at Concordia-St. Paul.
Brad also serves as strength and conditioning coach for the Saints. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and also has a Level I certification in Olympic Lifting Technique and Coaching from USA Weightlifting. His duties will include working primarily with the post positions and scouting; recruiting; running summer camps and clinics as well as program development.
He currently teaches Culinary Arts full-time at Proctor High School outside of Duluth.
