Just removed from a stellar playing career, Kristin Swartz joins Coach Walter’s staff for the 2011 season.
The 2009 UMAC Player of the Year and two-time NFCA All-Midwest Region selection was a consistent middle infielder during the last four seasons for the Saints. Swartz was named to the UMAC All-Defensive Team for all four years of her career.
During her 2009 conference player of the year season, Swartz batted .383, finished second in the conference with seven triples, and was second on the team with six home runs and 37 RBIs. In conference play, she posted a .525 batting average and had 32 hits. Swartz also made just five errors in 114 chances at second base.
