Jess Burlingame

Jess Burlingame joined St Scholastica in the fall of the 2022-23 season as the Assistant Softball Coach. She works mainly with the outfield, catchers and baserunning. She also is in charge of the team’s strength and conditioning.

Prior to CSS, Burlingame was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She worked with Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Track & Field and assisted with Football.

Prior to UMD, she worked at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. At SHU, she worked with Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball Baseball, Women’s Rugby, and Equestrian. In her year at Sacred Heart, the Women’s Volleyball team went undefeated in conference play, won the NEC Conference tournament and made an NCAA Regional appearance.

In 2020, Burlingame graduated from Merrimack College with a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science while serving as a Graduate Fellow Strength & Conditioning Coach.  Responsibilities included Cross Country, Women’s Swimming, and Women’s Lacrosse, as well as assisting with Football, Softball, Men’s Ice Hockey, and Women’s Ice Hockey.

Burlingame graduated from Bemidji State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Biochemistry emphasis and Human Performance minor. During her time at BSU, she had a successful four-year playing career. She holds 10 school records, 6 single-season records and 4 career records.

A native of Andover, MN, Burlingame is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Additionally, she is USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 Coach. Burlingame holds a Level 2 Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) certification, as well as CPR / AED and First Aid certification from the American Red Cross.
