Chas Johnson

Chas Johnson enters her first season as a full-time Assistant Coach on the St. Scholastica softball staff in 2020.
 
Johnson helped out with the Saints program during the 2019 season after departing from Williston State College (N.D.) where she was the Head Coach for two seasons. In her first season as head coach, Johnson led the Tetons to a NJCAA Division II Region 13 Runner-up finish in 2018. She coached three NJCAA All-Region players, including a Region MVP at Williston.
 
Johnson spent the previous 12 years at Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) foe Northland College as an assistant coach. In 10 of those 12 seasons, she was the program's top assistant. During that time, the LumberJills had the second-most UMAC Tournament championship appearances in the league. Johnson was involved in all aspects of the program at that time with focuses on opponent scouting, outfield play and base running.
 
The Bruce, Wisconsin native played three seasons at Northland and was a team captain her senior year. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2005.
