Zach Via brings a deep passion for Nordic skiing and a wealth of experience to his role as Assistant Nordic Ski Coach at CSS. Growing up in Fairbanks, Alaska, Zach developed a love for the sport early on, competing at both the high school and collegiate levels at the University of New Hampshire.
In his coaching career, Zach has dedicated the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the development team, where he has enjoyed the opportunity to mentor young athletes and foster their growth in the sport. His commitment to building a happy, successful, and fast development ski team is at the forefront of his coaching philosophy.
Outside of skiing, Zach cherishes spending time with his wife, Emily, and their 7-year-old daughter, Ingrid. He believes in the importance of balance and enjoys hiking, canoeing, camping, and, of course, Nordic skiing. His personal mantra, “Ski fast, have fun!” reflects his enthusiasm for the sport and his desire to instill that joy in his athletes.
