Tom Parkevich

Tom Parkevich begins his fourth season as the defensive coordinator for the football program in 2011.

Under the direction of Parkevich, the CSS defense is starting to be a force in the UMAC. In 2010, CSS finished second in Division III in turnover margin and also led the conference in pass defense and pass efficiency defense. The Saints finished second in total defense. In 2010, Parkevich had two members of his defense named first team All-UMAC.

Parkevich joined St. Scholastica after spending the previous 10 years at Earlham (Ind.) College. He served as the football team’s defensive coordinator over his final eight seasons with the Quakers after spending his first two years as the program’s linebackers coach. He was also the head baseball coach throughout his decade-long stay at Earlham.

Prior to his stint at Earlham, Parkevich was the defensive coordinator for the football program and head baseball coach at Blackburn (Ill.) College from 1994-1997.

A native of Logansport, Indiana, Parkevich is a 1991 graduate of Mount Senario College where he was a two-time all-conference honoree at inside linebacker, two-year team captain, two-time Defensive MVP and team MVP as a senior. During the summers of 1990 and 1991, he played inside linebacker and coordinated the defense for the Stoke-on-Trent Spitfires in England.

Tom and his wife Michelle live in Duluth and have three children, Beau, Levi, and Veronica.
