Matt Bremer begins his first season as Saints Head Football Coach in 2025.
In his two stints spanning eleven years with St. Scholastica, Bremer most recently led a 2024 campaign that saw the Saints finish in the top five in multiple offensive categories in the MIAC, including scoring, total yards, passing yards and red zone efficiency. This offensive output helped the Saints finish with their most MIAC wins in program history this past season. Bremer demonstrated a commitment to ensuring that his athletes succeed in the classroom and on the field. The 2024 team set a GPA record of 3.26 and were active members on campus and in the wider community.
Over his coaching career, Bremer has presided over twelve all-conference players, five conference championships, and NCAA Division III playoff appearances. He was recently inducted into the St. Scholastica Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the 2011 football team staff. Additionally, he has been asked to speak at multiple coaching clinics and was honored at the AFCA National Convention.
"I am thrilled to continue the work that has already been done to build and grow Saints Football,” said Bremer before the 2025 season. “In my time at St. Scholastica, our program has always been one of service. I look forward to continuing to serve our players, alumni, staff and The College of St. Scholastica community in this role. I am extremely proud of what those associated with our program have built in our short history. We will continue to be leaders and winners, not only on the field but also in the classroom and the community.”
Bremer resides in Duluth with his wife, Stephanie and their two children, Titus and Selah.
