Jonny Bennett joins the Saints football staff after a four-year playing career. As part of the inaugural recruiting class for the CSS football program, Bennett played in a total of 39 games over four seasons with 124 career receptions for 1,600 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Bennett also totaled over 1,000 yards in kickoff returns and 7.8 yards per punt return in his career. He ranks first all-time in program history in kick and punt return yards and second in pass receptions, reception yards and reception TDs.
Bennett was a two-time second team All-UMAC selection and an honorable mention choice his freshman season. Bennett also excelled in the classroom, being named Academic All-UMAC all four years.
Bennett will be coaching the wide receivers and H-backs this season.
