Wade Stadium

Opening on July 16, 1941, Wade Stadium was built as part of Franklin Roosevelt's Work Progress Administration - a federal jobs program implemented during the Great Depression. Paving bricks from Grand Avenue were installed by masons hired by the Federal Government and were used to create the grandstand which still stands today.Wade Stadium was originally called All-Sports Stadium.
Since 1941 more than 1 million fans have attended games at Wade Stadium, although attendance figures were not kept until 1946.

Turn Right
Straight at the stop sign
Turn Left on Superior Street (At Stop Lights)
Straight at the next set of Stop Lights
After passing under the trestles turn right
Wade Stadium and the main lot is on the left

From the South (Michigan St.)

I-35 North to 40th Ave W exit

Straight at the first stop sign

Turn left at the second stop sign

Cross over I-35 overpass

Turn right on Michigan Street

Follow Michigan to trestle turn left on 34th Ave W.

Wade Stadium and the main lot is on the left
