ST PETER, Minn. - The College of St. Scholastica women's tennis team headed to the Swanson Tennis Center at the Gustavus Adolphus College for their final match of the season against the No. 34 ranked Gusties
The Saints would drop all three doubles matches, with
Julia Maier (Hamburg, Germany/Heidberg Gymnasium) and
Anna Ritchie (Becker, Minn./Becker HS) losing an 8-4 battle at the top spot.
The lone point would come from senior
Julia Maier (Hamburg, Germany/Heidberg Gymnasium), who would grab the 6-4, 6-1 against Molly Austin.
In the third spot, Katia Bartles would grab the first set 6-4, before falling 7-6, 10-7.
End of Season
The Saints overall had an impressive season, going 10-10, they went 4-6 in the conference. The 10 wins are the most the Saints have won since the 2019 season.
The Saints will say goodbye to Maier,
Martina Garcia (Cuenca, Ecuador/Catalinas HS (Eastern Florida State College)),
Maya Nibbe (Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS),
Taylor Vyskocil (Ashland, Wis./Ashland HS), Ritchie, and
Eva Kangas (Grand Rapids, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy – Grand Rapids HS).
