ST. PAUL (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica's women's hockey team was on the road Saturday afternoon playing at Hamline University and were unable to pull the win out, losing 3-1.
How it Happened
Like Friday night, the Saints took the lead early in the game, scoring within the first five minutes. The goal was made by
Ashley Healy (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) and assisted by
Emily Sabol (New Prague, Minn./New Prague HS). CSS maintained its lead until late in the first period when Hamline scored two goals within a little over a minute of each other. The first period ended with St. Scholastica down 2-1.
Unfortunately the Saints were unable to regain the lead or tie up the score throughout the remainder of the game. Hamline scored their third and final goal in the second period. CSS was able to hold Hamline from scoring in the third period, but the final of the game still ended in a 3-1 loss for the Saints.
Ashlea Arvidson (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS) had 30 saves for the Saints. Mckenna Hulslander made 28 saves for the Pipers.
