csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team remains at home this week to welcome Finlandia University (Mich.) in a non-conference game on Wednesday and then an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup on Saturday against Martin Luther College.

What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-CSS enters this week's games on a three-game conference losing streak.
-The Saints have hit the midway point of the conference schedule and are currently on the outside of the top-five postseason slots.
-CSS is two back in the loss column to North Central University (Minn.) and the University of Minnesota Morris for fourth and fifth.

Kaylee Kennedy (Littlefork, Minn./Littlefork-Big Falls HS) leads the team in scoring averaging 17.8 points per game.
-That is currently the highest scoring average by a Saint in the last 20 seasons.
-In UMAC play, Kennedy leads the conference, averaging 20.1 points per game.

Karli Skog (Crosslake, Minn./Pequot Lakes HS (Jamestown)) has scored in double-figures in each of the last seven games
-The Saints have been without starting point guard
Alison Huber (Ashland, Wis./Ashland HS (Hibbing CC)) the last four games and the team is 1-6 this season when Huber does not suit up. CSS hopes to have her back soon.
-CSS is 5-0 this season when they make at least five 3-pointers and 0-11 when they don't.
-The Saints also have to do a better job a defending the 3-point shot as opponents are shooting 43.1 percent from the beyond the arc.
What You Need to Know about Finlandia:
Record: 8-11
-The Lions will enter Wednesday's road matchup on a three-game win streak.
-Finlandia is unbeaten at home this season (5-0), but are just 3-11 away from Hancock, Michigan.
-The Lions are led by sophomore Katie Lundeen, who averages 16.5 points per game and ranks 10
th nationally with 86 made free throws.
-In the two wins against the Saints this season, Lundeen has averaged 27.5 points per game.
-As a team, Finlandia ranks 10
th in NCAA Division III with 267 made free throws.
-The Lions also limit opponents to just 22.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc, which ranks seventh nationally.
-Carsyn Ostermann nearly had a triple-double in the victory over the Saints in November with 18 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.

-The Knights will host Minnesota Morris on Wednesday before traveling to take on the Saints on Saturday.
-The team's lone win this season was an eight-point victory at Crown College last week.
-MLC has had trouble securing the ball this season as it ranks near the bottom of NCAA Division III in turnovers per game (25.4) and turnover margin (-8.93).
-The team goes through Emily Witkowski as she averages 14.1 points per game.
-Witkowski leads the conference with 239 field goal attempts.
