DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team welcomed Bethany Lutheran College to Saints Field for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Saints would dominate the field not allowing a single shot to the Vikings on the day to win 4-0 on Senior Day.

How It Happened
St. Scholastica started out strong offensively getting numerous shots on goal, but would be unable to get anything past Bethany Lutheran's goalkeeper. The Saints would end the scoring drought when in the 21st minute of the game, off a Janelle Rouillard (Dayton, Minn./Rogers HS) corner kick, Kaiya Quam (Oakdale, Minn./Mounds View HS) would head it to Hunter Zamzow (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's School) who scored the first goal of the game to put the Saints up 1-0. The Saints would dominate the remainder of the half offensively but would not be able to capitalize by putting any additional points on the board.

The Saints would come out of the half with a quick goal in the 48th minute when Emily Olson (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) found Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS) for a shifty goal to go up 2-0 over the visiting Vikings (8-8-0, 4-3-0 UMAC). A few minutes later McKenzie Nelson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) would get the Saints on the board for the third time in the 53rd minute to increase the lead to 3-0 in favor of the Saints. Olson also had the assist on that goal.

In the 68th minute Quam had a centering pass towards the goal which was misplayed by a Bethany Lutheran defensive player and would go into the goal to put the Saints up 4-0. St. Scholastica would keep up their offensive tempo, but would be unable to add on to the lead and would win the game 4-0 over the Vikings.
