Women’s Basketball Has Big Game at Northwestern Saturday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team has a non-conference home contest against Finlandia University (Mich.) on Wednesday and then travels to face the University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Saturday in a key conference contest.

-VanKempen leads the conference with 42 blocks.
-Junior Rashonna Thomas (Minneapolis, Minn./Columbia Heights HS (Anoka-Ramsey CC)) leads the team in scoring at 11.3 points per game.
-Fellow junior Michala Walther (Roseville, Minn./Concordia Academy) averages 10.4 points per game.
-With three league games remaining, the Saints are game behind Northwestern in the loss column for the No. 4 seed.
-CSS is two games ahead of Crown for the five seed.
-The Eagles and Storm have four UMAC games left.

-Finlandia enters Wednesday's game with a 5-17 overall record.
-The Lions are coming off single-digit road losses to Crown and Northwestern.
