The Action
The Foresters opened the scoring three minutes in, but the Saints were able to respond three minutes later on the power play with a goal by Kaleigh Hamann (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS), who was assisted by Giorgia Battisti (Bolzano, Italy/Rice Memorial HS (Vermont)) and Mac Johnson (Monticello, Minn./Monticello HS (St. Cloud State)).

Their goal in the first period would be their only scoring of the game. Lake Forest added a second goal eight minutes into the second period. The Foresters extended their lead to 3-1 a few minutes into the third period. The Saints pulled their goalie with two minutes remaining looking to get back into the game, but were unable to capitalize with an extra skater, and Lake Forest was able to add an empty-net goal for a final score of 4-1 in favor of Lake Forest.
