MORRIS, Minn. (csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica volleyball team suffered an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) loss on Friday when it traveled to the University of Minnesota Morris to take on the Cougars and fell 3-0.

The Action
The Saints got on the board first in the first set with a kill from Brooke Elvehjem (Mora, Minn./Mora HS). They held their ground until the score was 5-5, then the Cougars made their move. They scored 10 points to the Saints' two, and kept the lead until the end of the set when they finished with a run of eight to take the 25-13 point win.

The second set started similarly to the first, with CSS holding their own for the first few points. A run of five for Morris put them up 10-3 and the Saints were unable to make any progress after that. The Cougars won in a similar fashion as in set one, with a final score of 25-12.

In the third set, the Saints ran into more troubles. The Cougars took a quick lead and were up by 10-5 when the Saints got a few back to get within two points of the lead. Morris kept pushing and took the win with a score of 25-16.
