This will be Finlandia's first trip out of the state of Michigan this season … On Monday, the Lions announced a coaching change as former coach Terry Klemett was relieved of his duties and Steve Nordstrom was named the interim head coach … The Lions have alternated wins and losses in their first six games of the year and are coming off an eight-point home win over Crown College last Saturday … The other two victories both came against Carroll University (Wis.) … Kelsie Richards and Julia Daavettila are tied for the team lead in scoring at 13.5 points per game … Daavettila is also averaging a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game … Brooke Turin is averaging 12.3 points per game and has a team-best 11 steals.

After dropping their first three games of the season, the LumberJills have won three of their last four, with home wins against the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Crown College and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls … The 'Jills have the top scoring offense in the UMAC averaging 70.3 points per game … However, they are also allowing the most points in the league at 77.1 per game … Nicole Huber is leading the way with a conference-best 21.1 points per game and is also averaging a team-best 2.7 assists per contest … Huber leads the conference with 18 made 3-point field goals and making 36 percent of her attempts … Bethany Best leads the conference shooting 50 percent from the floor and ranks fourth in the league with 7.6 rebounds per game … Northland leads the UMAC with 51 made 3-point field goals and making 35 percent of 3-point attempts … End of halves have been an issue for the 'Jills thus far being outscored by an average of 23 points in the second and fourth periods.
