St. Scholastica Saints
Stats
Record: 3-1, 3-0 UMAC
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference: Standings | Stats

Last Action: The Saints recorded their second shutout in program history, blanking Crown College 45-0 last Saturday in St. Bonifacius … Three different CSS quarterbacks threw touchdown passes and the fourth Saints quarterback ran for a touchdown … The Saints scored on four of their first six possessions … Preston Robinson (Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) ran for a score and also had a touchdown reception … Mason Bloomquist (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS ) and Alex Mangan (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) each recorded seven tackles.

Everything Ejnik: Linebacker Mitch Ejnik (New London, Minn./New London-Spicer HS ) did a little bit of everything in Saturday's win at Crown … Ejnik recorded five tackles, had two interceptions, recovered a fumble and also returned a punt for a touchdown.

Sack Record Already in Jeopardy: With a pair of sacks on Saturday, senior Joe Geiselman (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) now has 14 for his career … The Virginia, Minnesota-native is just a half sack shy from tying the program record of 14.5 held by Blake Cedarleaf (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS), who set that record in the final game of last season.

Spreading the Ball Around: So far this season, 16 different Saints have caught a pass … That is already a program-best as the previous high was 14 during the 2011 season.

Back at Malosky: For the first time under coach Kurt Ramler, the Saints will have a home at University of Minnesota-Duluth's Malosky Stadium … The last action for the Saints at Malosky Stadium took place at the 2013 Homecoming game which the Saints defeated Westminster College (Mo.) 41-13 … The Saints have won nine straight games at Malosky Stadium.

Homecoming Success: The Saints are 6-1 all-time on Homecoming, winning the last six … Last season, the Saints won dramatic fashion with a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the University of Northwestern 28-24 … That was also the first time the Homecoming game was not played at Malosky Stadium, as it took place at Public Schools Stadium.

UMAC Streaks: The Saints have won 24 straight UMAC games; a streak dating back to October 20, 2012 … CSS has lost only one UMAC game in the last four seasons.

20 is the Magic Number: The Saints are 45-0 since 2010 when they score at least 20 points … They are only 1-16 all-time when they don't reach 20 points … That lone win came against Northwestern in 2010.
