Sack Record Already in Jeopardy: With a pair of sacks on Saturday, senior
Joe Geiselman (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) now has 14 for his career … The Virginia, Minnesota-native is just a half sack shy from tying the program record of 14.5 held by
Blake Cedarleaf (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS), who set that record in the final game of last season.
Spreading the Ball Around: So far this season, 16 different Saints have caught a pass … That is already a program-best as the previous high was 14 during the 2011 season.
Back at Malosky: For the first time under coach
Kurt Ramler, the Saints will have a home at University of Minnesota-Duluth's Malosky Stadium … The last action for the Saints at Malosky Stadium took place at the 2013 Homecoming game which the Saints defeated Westminster College (Mo.) 41-13 … The Saints have won nine straight games at Malosky Stadium.
Homecoming Success: The Saints are 6-1 all-time on Homecoming, winning the last six … Last season, the Saints won dramatic fashion with a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the University of Northwestern 28-24 … That was also the first time the Homecoming game was not played at Malosky Stadium, as it took place at Public Schools Stadium.
