DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica women's soccer team defeated the University of Minnesota Morris on Wednesday 2-0 at Saints Field in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament semifinal game. 
 
The Action
The match was scoreless through the first half and up until the 49th minute until CSS defender Alexi Bopray (River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS) scored the first goal for St. Scholastica, finding the back of the net off of a Kirsten Olsen (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS ) free kick. 
 
Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS ) quickly followed up on Bopray's goal with a score of her own, taking place in the 54th minute of play. The goal was scored on a scramble after a free kick and was assisted by Bopray. Rancour has been a stellar forward for the Saints this season with 17 goals on the year along with four assists.
 
The Saints defense was the difference maker in Wednesday's match with CSS only allowing four shots, two of which were on goal. Stopping those two shots was Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) who, with todays victory, reached her ninth win of the year and her seventh shutout. Reeves' currently posts a .803 save percentage and has 57 saves as well.
 
Up Next
The Saints (11-6-2) will face the University of Northwestern on Saturday in the UMAC Tournament championship. The Eagles defeated Northland College 3-2 today.
