Notables -414 runners competed in the Pre-Nationals Race
-Mogren and Hovland had personal-best times
WINNECONNE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's cross country team took part in a pair of races on Saturday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Club.
Pre-Nationals (RESULTS)The first race of the day was Division III-only Pre-Nationals event.
Andrea Mogren (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) led CSS to a 27
th place finish out of 46 total teams. She finished 65
th overall with a personal-best time of 22:41. The next closest Saint was
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) who finished 93
rd with a personal-best time of 22:58.
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS),
Anna Nelson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS), and
Kali Erickson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Central HS) finished in third, fourth, and fifth for the Saints with times of 23:51, 24:08, and 24:47 respectively.
Heidi Carlson (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) and
Molly McCusker (Deerwood, Minn./Crosby-Ironton HS) rounded out the field for CSS with times of 25:03 and 25:13.
AAE Invitational (RESULTS)CSS finished 19
th out of 21 teams in the AAE Invitational which was also held at UW-Oshkosh.
Ellie Ubl led the way for CSS with a time of 26:05. She was followed by
Kate Rod (Grantsburg, Wis./Grantsburg HS),
Laura Moe (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls HS), and
Jenna Thomforde (Drummond, Wis./Drummond HS) who finished with times of 26:31, 27:04, and 27:12, respectively.
Maggie Moe (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls HS),
Lindsey Lampi (Mountain Iron, Minn./Hibbing HS), and
Kaisa Hallgren (Cologne, Minn./Belle Plaine HS) rounded out the field for CSS posting times of 27:35, 27:45, and 28:15.
