Notables -A total of 45 teams took part in the Pre-Nationals Race-A joint meet took place in which half of the CSS squad ran in the pre-national meet and half ran in the AAE Invitational meet
WINNECONNE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team took part in two races on Saturday at the Lake Breeze Golf Club, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Pre-National Meet (RESULTS)In the Division III-only Pre-Nationals race,
Chris Lawson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village) led the way for the Saints placing 84
th overall with a time of 26:17. He was followed by
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) and
Luke McKenzie (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) who placed 157
th and 212
th with times of 26:27 and 26:53, respectively.
Easton Foss (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS),
Tim Dunstan (Dollar Bay, Mich./Dollar Bay HS),
Josh Trosen (Hackensack, Minn./Nevis HS), and
Adam Wallenta (Eagan, Minn./Farmington HS) rounded out the field for CSS. All four of them finished within a span of 36 seconds with Foss coming in with a time of 27:22 and Wallenta finishing with a time of 27:58. Dunstan and Trosen ran races of 27:31 and 27:52 respectively.
AAE Invitational (RESULTS)CSS placed 30
th out of 31 teams in the AAE Invitational which also took place at UW-Oshkosh.
Michel Doege (Andover, Minn./Andover HS),
Jimmy Lovrien (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS), and
Kyle Sather (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake HS) were the top three finishers for the Saints with times of 30:27, 31:24, and 31:50.
Neil Thomforde (Drummond, Wis./Drummond HS),
Matthew Lerch (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Apollo HS), and
Noah Butler (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS) rounded out the field for the Saints with times of 32:36, 33:34, and 37:06.
Up NextThe next race for CSS will be the UMAC championships race in Buffalo, Minnesota on Saturday, October 31 with the race set to begin at 12 p.m.
