SAN ANTONIO, Texas (csssaints.com) – The reigning national runner-up Trinity University Tigers proved to be too much for the St. Scholastica women's soccer team Friday night in the 2014 season opener as the Saints fell 7-1.

The lone goal for the Saints came on Kirsten Olsen (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS )'s boot from 25 yards out in the second half. Despite allowing six goals, CSS goalkeeper Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) made 13 saves.

The second-ranked Tigers had success on set pieces early in the contest and were able to get past CSS' back line on a number of occasions. Emily Jorgens was involved with either a goal or an assist in all four of Trinity's first half goals.

The Saints will face No. 16 Hardin-Simmons University (Texas) tomorrow night at 6 p.m. down at Trinity. You can watch the game live at the following link: http://portal.stretchinternet.com/trinitytigers/
