PREVIEW: Women's Hockey Heads across the Bridge Tuesday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's hockey team will face Bridge Rival University of Wisconsin-Superior Tuesday night at Wessman Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.

-The Saints are coming off a 4-0 win against Finlandia University on Saturday and clinched at least a bye into the NCHA Slaats Cup semifinals.
-Isabel Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Graubunden Canton School (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) picked up two assists in the game, to add to her assist total of 23 on the season, good enough for second in the nation. She is also second in the nation in points with 38, but leads the country averaging two points per game.
-The Saints went 2-for-5 on the power play, continuing to lead the nation with power play percentage of .333.
-In net, Sheridan Friesen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Ontario Hockey Academy) recorded her second shutout of the season after making five saves against the Lions on Saturday.
-The Saints' other goaltender, Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS), is leading the NCHA with the save percentage of .933.
-With one more win this season, the Saints can set a program record for wins in a season.

#7 University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets
Record: 14-4-6 (4-4-4 WIAC)

-The Yellowjackets are coming off two ties by the scores of 1-1 and 2-2 against the No. 6 ranked University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point last weekend.
-This will be the last game of the regular season for the Yellowjackets. UWS will play in the four-team WIAC Tournament at the end of the month.
-Dani Shultz leads the Yellowjackets and tied for first in the WIAC with 25 points.
-Second in points for the Yellowjackets is Karen Larson, as she has recorded 22 points and 11 goals so far this season.
-Shanley Peters has seen the majority of time in net for the Yellowjackets, holding a .943 save percentage which is second in the WIAC.
Series History: (CSS is 1-5-1 vs. UW-Superior)
-In January, the Saints lost to the Yellowjackets by a score of 2-0 at Mars Lakeview Arena.
