DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's hockey team plays the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds on Thursday at Mars Lakeview Arena. Faceoff will be a 4 p.m. in Duluth.

The Saints enter game against Eau Claire after being swept by Adrian College on the road this last weekend … St. Scholastica recorded 52 shots against the #10 ranked Bulldogs … CSS had four power play goals the whole weekend with three of them coming in the first game from Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) who had a hat trick in Saturday's game and all power-play goals.
 
Power Play: The Saints are 11-40 on the power play while holding opponents to 6-33 … Waidacher has six power play goals on the season followed by teammate Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)) with two goals in the advantage.
 
Goal Breakdown: St. Scholastica has scored 38 goals this season so far while holding opponents to 23 goals and its ranked third in the confernce in both categories … CSS has scored 11 power play goals and have had one shorthanded goal.

Waidacher Leading the Offense: Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) has been, not only the Saints top offensive preformer, but she is also leading the NCHA...Waidacher leads the conference in points (20), goals (11), and is third in assists (9)...In her last three games Waidacher has seven points with four goals and three assists.
 
Series History: Last season the Saints and Blugolds opened the season with an overtime game that ended in a tie and a Saints victory the next day … St. Scholastica recorded a 4-0 shutout that second game against UW-Eau Claire … Overall the Saints have gone 4-1-3 with the Blugolds.

The Blugolds are coming off a weekend at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point … UW-Eau Claire tied its game on Friday 3-3 and lost 2-1 on Saturday … Paige Dale had two goals in Friday's game with one of those being a power-play goal … Sam Knutson was the lone scorer on Saturday with her power-play goal. The Blugolds come to Thursday's game with a 1-9-1 record overall.
