Saints fall to #10 Adrian 4-2 on Sunday

Notables:
- Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)) scored power play goal and recorded an assist.
-Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) had two assists.
-Taylor Guzzo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley HS (UW-River Falls)) scored the first goal of the game for St. Scholastica and added an assist on Logergren's goal.
-Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS) made 23 saves for CSS.

ADRIAN, Mich. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's hockey team was defeated 4-2 by Adrian College on Sunday afternoon.
 
St. Scholastica was the first to score in Sunday's game against Adrian. Scoring for the Saints was Taylor Guzzo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley HS (UW-River Falls)) and she was assisted by teammates Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) and Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)). The Bulldogs answered back with Kaylyn Schroka scoring a goal to tie the game up 1-1 after the first period.
 
The same three Saints players teamed up for the second goal of the night. Logergren was the goal scorer on the power play while Waidacher and Guzzo assisted her to make it 2-1 in favor of the Saints. The Bulldogs answered back with a power play goal by Kelsey Kusch at 6:23 of the second period. Later in the period Kusch scored again which gave the Bulldogs their first lead of the night. Adrian led St. Scholastica 3-2 after two periods
 
The third period remained quiet between the two teams. The only goal came from an empty net shot by Adrian's Logan Taylor. Saints goalie Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS) stopped 23 shots while allowing three goals. On the other end of the ice, Jade Walsh saved 23 shots while allowing two goals.
