The Saints started the season strong with 7-1 and 4-1 victories over Marian University, giving the Saints an early tie for the conference lead...The Saints recorded an impressive 101 shots on goal over the weekend.
 
Offensive Outburst: Senior captain Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) scored four goals and added three assists, giving her the early goals and points lead in the NCHA....Alex Blair (Drake, Saskatchewan/Lanigan Central HS) added a NCHA-high four assists over the weekend, and Sierra Hanowski (Warroad, Minn./Warroad HS) added two goals and two assists of her own.
 
Efficiency: CSS currently represents the top five players in +/- in the NCHA....Hanowski and Waidacher are tops at +5, while Blair, Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)) and Kaitlin Johnston (Lake Elmo, Minn./Stillwater HS) are tied for second at +4.
 
Goalie Uncertainty: CSS is still undecided as to who will be in net full-time for the Saints...Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS) made 17 saves in the season opener and Kristen Hunt (Winnipeg, Manitoba/West Kildonan) made 16 saves in the second game...both allowed one goal.

Series History: St. Scholastica is 9-0-0 all-time against Finlandia ... The Saints have won the past three contests by a combined score of 24-2
