Notables-Saints clinch outright UMAC regular season title

Leah Hamm (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) scored all three St. Scholastica goals as the Saints clinched the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Women's Soccer Regular Season title outright with a 3-0 victory at Martin Luther College Saturday in the regular season finale.
After a scoreless 27 minutes of play, Hamm scored consecutive goals 38 seconds apart to put CSS up 2-0.
Morgan Osborne (Saint Peter, Minn./Saint Peter HS) and
Kirsten Olsen (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS ) had the assists on the first goal and
Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) assisted the second goal.
It remained 2-0 until the 79
th minute when Hamm completed the hat trick, her first of the season, to make the final score 3-0. Kehtel also assisted the third goal.
Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) made four saves to earn another clean sheet, her 10
th of the season. It was also her 27
th career shutout, which breaks Kelly Momsen's program record of 26 career shutouts.
The Saints (13-6-1, 13-0-1 UMAC) will host a UMAC Tournament semifinal on Wednesday at Saints Field at 2 p.m. and their opponent will be Northland College. Action can be seen live on Saints Sports Net.
