WINNECONNE, Wis./ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn., (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team ran its last regular season meets on Saturday. The team split up to compete at the UW-Oshkosh AAE Invitational in Wisconsin and the St. Bonifacius Invite in Minnesota.
UW-Oshkosh AAE InvitationalOne of the runners for the Saints at the AAE Invite on Saturday was
Chris Lawson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village) who finished 130
th overall with a time of 26:04.4.
Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) was also in Wisconsin and finished at a pace of 26:28.0 which put him at 186
th overall. Scholastica didn't place as a team but there were 45 teams present with over 660 runners competing.
St. Bonifacius InviteMeanwhile in Minnesota, the Saints ran for a second place finish with 46 overall points. Leading the Scholastican march at Crown was
Josh Trosen (Hackensack, Minn./Nevis HS) with a time of 27:35.236. Trosen was also the second place overall runner at the St. Bonifacius Invite. Also representing CSS was
Adam Wallenta (Eagan, Minn./Farmington HS) who came in fifth overall with a time of 28:23.576. There were five teams and 45 total athletes competing on Saturday morning.
The Saints continue into the depths of their season on Saturday at the UMAC Cross Country Championships. It will be held at Stebner Field in Hermantown near Duluth. Race time has yet to be announced.
