DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team will face conference foe University of Minnesota Morris on Friday and then face Crown College on Saturday in its first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) road games of the season.

St. Scholastica Saints

- The Saints won their first conference game of the season, easily defeating Northland College last Tuesday 71-27.
- CSS held Northland to just nine made field goals, which tied a program record.
- Three players scored in double figures for the Saints and every player got to see action on the court.

Caitlin McKernon (Coon Rapids, Minn./Fridley HS) tied her season-high with 13 points, while
Sammy Doucette (Colfax, Wis./Colfax HS (UW-River Falls)) had herself a season-high 11 points in Tuesday's win.
- The Saints also shot a season-high 49 percent as a team in the win on Tuesday.

Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow (Braham, Minn./Braham HS (Minn. Duluth)) leads the UMAC in 3-point percentage at 46.3 percent, while
Elena Huber (Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) is fourth in the conference at 37.8 percent.
- Sorenson is also fifth in the conference in total field goal percentage at 44.8 percent.

University of Minnesota Morris Cougars
Record: 4-8 (1-0 UMAC)

- The Cougars first conference game was last Saturday against Crown College, as they coasted to a 102-44 victory.
- Two players are averaging double figures for Morris with Kendra Wycoff leading the way with 11.8 points per game and Emily Auch not far behind with 11.3 points per game.
- Abby Fragodt leads the team in rebounding with 8.8 boards per game, which is good enough for fourth in the conference.
- Auch is first in the conference in total field goal percentage, shooting an impressive 58 percent from the field.
- The Cougars were picked to finish third in the conference in the UMAC Women's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll.
