DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica football team will play its sixth Homecoming game on Saturday at Malosky Stadium when it hosts Westminster College (Mo.) at 4:30 p.m. in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference contest.

St. Scholastica Saints
Record:
 2-1, 2-0 UMAC
Head Coach: Greg Carlson (6th Season)
-CSS is coming off a 24-14 road victory against Crown College.
-The Saints are 11-for-13 in the red zone, good enough for an 85-percent average.
-CSS is celebrating Homecoming this week where the Saints are 4-1 in Homecoming games.
-St. Scholastica has not lost at UMD's Griggs Field since the inaugural season. The Saints have won eight straight at Malosky.
-CSS has scored at least 40 points in two of the last three Homecoming games.
-The Saints rushing attack has outgained opponents 771-275 in total yardage and ranks 26th in all of Division III.
-The CSS defense ranks first in the UMAC holding opponents to 235 total yards per game.  The Saints also have a league high 10 sacks in two conference games.
-Jake Jensen (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS) has gained 327 yards on 62 rushing attempts including one score. He is only 11 yards shy of the program record of career rushing yards (2,043-Chris Henagin).
-Cory Gebhard (St. Croix Falls, Wis./St. Croix Falls HS) has 15 receptions for 246 yards and five touchdowns. Gebhard has at least one touchdown reception in six of the last seven games.
-Alec French (Isanti, Minn./St. Francis HS) leads the CSS defense with 22 tackles followed by LB Tyler Zurn (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) with 22 tackles including 3.0 sacks.
-The Saints have outscored opponents 14-0 in the third quarter.

Westminster College Blue Jays
Record: 2-1, 2-0 UMAC
Head Coach: John Welty (15th Season)
-Westminster is coming off a 21-14 victory MacMurray.
-The Blue Jays are ranked first in Red Zone Efficiency at 100-percent (3-for-3).
-Joe Plassmeyer is 53-for-81 on the year with 540 yards and four touchdowns.
-Division II transfer Ronnie Seals Jr. has 66 rushing attempts for 397 yards and five scores.  Seals Jr. leads the UMAC in rushing yards per game and is second in rushing touchdowns.
-WR Mike Washington leads a solid receiving corps with 15 catches for 169 yards.
-Louvis Johnson leads a stout Blue Jay defense with 31 total tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss.
-LB Brett Carrigan has 4.5 sacks on the year and 8 tackles for loss.
-Freshman corner Kyree Hart leads NCAA Division III with 10 passes defended. Josh Bromberg is second in the nation with four interceptions. The Blue Jays lead the conference with seven interceptions
Series History: (CSS is 3-0 vs. Westminster)
-The Saints defeated Westminster in a weather shortened game in 2012 by a score of 20-6.  Mike Theismann (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Apollo HS) booted a pair of field goals (34 and 25 yards) while Tyler Harper (Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) had a rushing score for the Saints. 
-CSS defeated Westminster 29-12 in the 2011 Homecoming game.
