DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team will host Finlandia University (Mich.) Saturday afternoon at the Reif Gymnasium. Action is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
-The Saints are looking to continue their two-game winning streak after beating both Dakota State (S.D.) and UW-Stout in last weekend's Turkey Shootout for their first wins of the season

Erin Frase (Phillips, Wis./Phillips HS (UW-River Falls)) led the team against UW-Stout with 15 points and was followed closely by
Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow (Braham, Minn./Braham HS (Minn. Duluth)) with 12 points.
-Sorenson once again shot above 30 percent outside the arc shooting 2-for-3 on 3-pointers. She has recorded double-figures in each of the last four games.
-The Saints did better to get the ball inside the paint and finish shots at last weekend's Turkey Super 8 Tournament. They shot 45 percent from the field in each game and 38 percent from beyond the arc in the victory over UW-Stout.
-The Saints shot 61 percent from the free throw line vs. Stout. Their team percentage for the season in 71 percent and they have only shot below this one other time during their season thus far.
-The Saints have continued their aggressive play going to the free throw line a season-high 43 times against the Blue Devils. The program record for free throw attempts in a game is 48.
-CSS also grabbed a season-high 50 rebounds in Sunday's win.

-Finlandia is coming off a victory at Northland College on Wednesday by a score of 53-47. On Tuesday, the Lions fell to Crown College 67-59.
-Brierra Ruska led Finlandia with 16 points in the victory over the Jills.
-Marissa Burke led the team in scoring against Crown with 18 points and is followed by Hailey Gervais with 17 points.
-Gervais also leads the team in total rebounds for the season with 35 and Arianna Osuna has chipped in 31 rebounds for the season as well.
-The Lions have struggled shooting just 27 percent from the field for the season.
-The Lions are looking to tighten up their defense as they are allowing nearly 87 points per game.
