DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The eighth-ranked St. Scholastica women's hockey team will host Adrian College (Mich.) this weekend at Mars Lakeview Arena in a key two-game Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) series.

-This will be the last games for the Saints for the 2013 calendar year as the team will resume action January 10th at Marian.
-The Saints are coming off a 2-1 win the Tuesday before Thanksgiving against Saint Mary's.

Isabel Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Graubunden Canton School (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) scored the game winning goal to extend her point total to a nation leading 28 on the season.

Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) is leading the nation with 16 goals so far this season, and is second to Isabel with 27 points.
-Nina has recorded at least one point in all nine games, including a goal in each of the last eight games.
-CSS has the top two goaltenders in the NCHA. Junior
Sheridan Friesen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Ontario Hockey Academy) leads the conference with a 0.97 goals-against-average and a .946 save percentage in three starts. Freshman
Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS) is second in both of those categories (2.14 & .929) in six starts.
-The Saints are unbeaten in their last eight home games (6-0-2).
-St. Scholastica leads the nation with both a power play conversion rate of 41 percent, and average goals per game with 5.44.

Adrian College Bulldogs

-The Bulldogs are coming off a series split against St. Norbert two weekends ago, as they took Friday's game 6-3 but lost Saturday's 2-1.
-Adrian is ranked 10th in the D3hockey.com poll.
-The Bulldogs are the third most penalized team in the nation, averaging 15.38 minutes per game of penalty minutes.
-Adrian is ninth in the nation for penalty kill, posting a 92 percent rate and killing 45-of-49 penalties.
-Kelsey Kusch has led Adrian offensively; recording 11 points in seven games thus far, and was named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week last week.
-Devyn Fitzhenry is second in offense for the Bulldogs, recording 10 points so far this season.
-Seeing the majority of time in net thus far is Jade Walsh, as she has a record of 4-2 and a .914 goal against average.
-Adrian was picked to finish second in the NCHA according to the NCHA Preseason Coaches' Poll, after receiving 28 points.
