HANOVER, Ind. (csssaints.com) – Sophomore Chris Lawson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village) paced the St. Scholastica men's cross country team to an 18th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals Meet on Saturday.
The Saints finished with 416 points. Loras College (Iowa) won the meet with 66 points, while Manchester University (Ind.) was second with 85 points.
Lawson finished 25th overall with a time of 26:46.17. Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) was the next Saint to come across in 78th with a time of 27:52.73. Kelin Dunfee (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central HS) was 98th, posting a time of 28:12.01.
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) finished in 28:47.92, which was good enough for 136th. The final Saint to score was Brian Riley (Redwood Falls, Minn./Redwood Valley HS) in 175th with a time of 29:47.52.
The Saints will have a well-deserved weekend off next week and will be back in action on October 19th at the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational.
