The Saints and Knights played a defensive battle in last season's game which saw MLC tie the game on a kickoff return directly after CSS's first TD score. Cory Gebhard (St. Croix Falls, Wis./St. Croix Falls HS) gave the Saints the lead for good after an acrobatic spinning catch for a 73 yard TD.  Gebhard would grab his second TD of the game, a five yard slant route from Tyler Harper (Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) to give the Saints the 21-7 victory.  The Saints defense held MLC to just 67 total yards including -32 yards rushing, both program records.
