DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica football team will go out of conference on Saturday as it heads to Aberdeen, S.D. to face Presentation College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Swisher Field.

About the CSS Saints
Record: 6-2, 6-1 UMAC

  • The Saints are coming off a 45-13 victory over Crown College on Senior Day last Saturday at Ordean Stadium.
  • This is the program's first trip to South Dakota. The Saints traveled once to North Dakota to face Trinity Bible College.
  • The Saints lead the UMAC in two of the three phases of the game. (Total defense, punt returns and kick returns)
  • CSS is sixth in NCAA Division III in scoring defense, seventh in pass efficiency defense and eighth in total defense.
  • The Saints had 182 yards passing in Saturday's win over Crown. That was the most yards passing since the week four win at Martin Luther.
  • CSS has five players over 200 yards rushing this season, but none of them are over 450 yards for the year. Three average at least five yards per carry.
  • Nick Thiry (Braham, Minn./Braham HS) became the third Saint to record 100 career receptions in Saturday's win.

  • Presentation is coming off a 35-28 loss to the University of Minnesota Morris last Saturday.
  • Presentation has applied for membership to the NAIA starting with the 2013-14 academic year.
  • The Saints are just in their second year as a program.
  • Presentation belonged to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) for just one year as a football program, but belonged to the conference from 2002-12 in other sports.

  • Josh Boyda leads the defense with 51 tackles, including eight for a loss and 2.5 sacks.
