Monika Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftsschule KV Chur (Swiss National Team)) led the team with seven total points in the two games as the Saints outshot Finlandia 117-17 on the weekend.
St. Scholastica Saints (4-2-0, 4-2-0 NCHA)
The Saints have had a great start to their season as their only two losses were to a quality opponent in #5 Wisconsin-River Falls. The Saints are also receiving votes to be in the top 10 in only their second year as a program. The Saints are the second team out of the rankings after receiving six votes. Freshman
Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) and her sister Monika (sophomore) lead the team in scoring this year with 15 and 14 points respectively. Captain
Michelle Fischer (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) is third on the team in scoring with ten points. The Saints' two goaltenders have split time this season in
Sheridan Friesen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Ontario Hockey Academy) and
Shannon Connolly (Toronto, Ontario/Havergal College) who have both started three games and each have a 2-1-0 record. They have made a combined 128 saves and Connolly has a shutout as well.
Marian Sabres (0-7-0, 0-6-0 NCHA)
The Sabres have not had the ideal start to their season dropping the first seven games, six of which were conference games. A glimmer of hope came for Marian when they defeated Robert Morris College in mid-November, however only an exhibition game. The games vs. CSS will be the first since that exhibition win. Freshman Amanda Waigand leads the team this year with nine points on seven goals and two assists, while the next closest player has only three total points. The Sabres have had two goaltenders in net this year in Amanda Alexander and Kaytlin Ruzicka. Alexander has played to an 0-5-0 record while making 197 saves and Ruzicka has an 0-2-0 record on 69 saves.
Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Marian: 2-0-0)

Frankie Bergman (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Duluth Northern Stars)) and an overtime game-winner from
Michelle Rebeck (St. Andrews, Manitoba/Balmoral Hall).
