Last Action:  The Saints are coming off of two straight losses to #5 University of Wisconsin-River Falls last weekend 6-2 and 5-2.  Both games were tight until late in the second period and UW-RF pulled away towards the end on both days.

St. Scholastica Saints (2-2-0, 2-2-0 NCHA)
The Saints started off the season with a bang with a weekend sweep of UW-Eau Claire on the road, but have fallen back to .500 after being swept themselves the following weekend to a top five team and last year's NCHA regular season champions, UW-River Falls.  CSS looks to bounce back on the shoulders of their top offensive line in Captain Michelle Fischer (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall), Nina Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftschule KV Chur (ZSC Lions/Swiss U18 National)) and Monika Waidacher (Arosa, Switzerland/Wirtschaftsschule KV Chur (Swiss National Team)).  The three forwards lead the team in scoring as N. Waidacher has nine points, M. Waidacher has seven and Fischer has five.  The Saints have two goaltenders that have split time so far in Sheridan Friesen (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Ontario Hockey Academy) and Shannon Connolly (Toronto, Ontario/Havergal College) who have a combined 112 saves and each have a 1-1-0 record.

Finlandia Lions (0-5-1, 0-2-0)
The Lions had high hopes after skating to a tie with Augsburg in the first game of the season but have now lost five straight coming into the weekend series with CSS.  Siera Hache leads the team with four points on two goals and two assists, and Kelly Poelstra is right behind her with three on two goals and an assist.  Finlandia also has a handful of players with two points on the season.  The Lions have had three goaltenders take the ice this year in Ashley Pavlish, Stephanie LaMore and Breanna Hynes who have made a combined 214 saves this season.  LaMore started the opening game for the Lions in their only non-loss.

Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Finlandia: 2-0-0)
The Saints and Lions last met in early December last year where the Saints came away with a weekend sweep in Hancock, Mich. winning 5-0 and 3-1.  Briana Stephens (Chicago, Ill./Hopkins HS (Minn.)) and Briget Cojocar (Limerick, Saskatchewan/Lafleche HS (Melville Prairie Fire)) each had three points on the weekend to lead the Saints to victory.
