WAVERLY, Iowa – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team finished 19th out of 26 teams on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Central Regional championships, hosted by Wartburg College.
#Nick Mangan# finished 13th overall with a time of 25:55 seconds. The top seven runners that are not part of advancing teams get invited to the NCAA Championships. Mangan finished just four seconds behind the final qualifier. Mangan does receive all-region honors.
#Pat Bigaouette# was the next CSS runner to cross the finish line with a time of 27:29, placing 105th overall. #Tony Bye# was 110th in a time of 27:38 seconds. #Jimmy Linn# finished 134th with a time of 28:27.
#Ben Carlson# posted a time of 28:38 seconds to finish 139th overall. #Ethan Schubert# was 154th with a time of 29:20. #Charlie Haberman# finished in 29:50 to place 159th overall.
Grinnell College (Iowa) won the regional with 97 points. Luther College (Iowa) was second with 133 points. Both of those advance to the NCAA Championships next Saturday.
