ASHLAND, Wis. – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team finished second out of seven teams at the Northland Invitational on Saturday.
The Saints finished with 70 points with only Lakehead University besting them with 37 points.
#Nick Mangan# paced the Saints finishing third overall with a time of 27:09.7 seconds. It was the second straight year Mangan placed third overall at the Northland Invite.
Following him was #Pat Bigaouette# who finished 13th with a season-best time of 28:19.2 seconds. #Jimmy Linn# finished with a time of 29:07.6 seconds placing him in 17th overall. The fourth Saint to cross the finish line was #Charlie Habermann# finishing 18th overall with a time of 29:08.3 seconds. #John Hunn# finished 19th with a time of 29:14.7 seconds.
For Lynn, Haberman, and Hunn those were all personal-best times. The Saints had a total of 13 personal-best and five season-best times on the day.
The Saints will be down in Waverly, Iowa next Saturday, competing in the Dan Huston/Pre-Nationals Invitational, hosted by Wartburg College. The race begins at 11 a.m.
