DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team scored a program-record 62 first half points on its way to a convincing 101-47 victory over North Central this evening in Reif Gym at the Burns Wellness Commons.

The win improves the Saints to 4-5 overall, while North Central falls to 1-5 on the campaign. CSS defeated the Rams by the exact same margin, 54, in the season opener in Minneapolis.

The Saints took an early 12-1 lead and later in the half went on a 24-0 run. CSS then closed the half on a 13-0 run to go into the locker room with a 62-17 lead.

The only question in the second half was whether the Saints could get 100 points. They would get it with a minute to go on a #Britta Suek# (Sr.-Fergus Falls, Minn.) jumper as the Saints cruised to 101-47 victory.

The Saints shot a program-best 60-percent for the game and set another record with 44 made field goals. CSS also tied a program record with 29 assists CSS made a season-high nine, 3-pointers. The Rams shot just 31-percent from the field. The Saints forced 34 North Central turnovers, which led to 40 points.

The Saints had 16 players get in the scoring column. Leading the way was #Laura Wappes# (So.-Cloquet, Minn.), who scored a career-high 14 points. #Katie Christensen# (Sr.-Elk River, Minn.) and #Bri Allen# (Fr.-West St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley) each added 12 points. #Erin Morstad# (So.-Fergus Falls, Minn.) had a team-high six assists. Caitlin Jusczak led the way for the Rams with 15 points.
