DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team scored a program-record 62 first half points on its way to a convincing 101-47 victory over North Central this evening in Reif Gym at the Burns Wellness Commons.
The win improves the Saints to 4-5 overall, while North Central falls to 1-5 on the campaign. CSS defeated the Rams by the exact same margin, 54, in the season opener in Minneapolis.
The Saints took an early 12-1 lead and later in the half went on a 24-0 run. CSS then closed the half on a 13-0 run to go into the locker room with a 62-17 lead.

The Saints shot a program-best 60-percent for the game and set another record with 44 made field goals. CSS also tied a program record with 29 assists CSS made a season-high nine, 3-pointers. The Rams shot just 31-percent from the field. The Saints forced 34 North Central turnovers, which led to 40 points.
