LAKE FOREST, Ill. – After a scoreless first period, the second-ranked St. Scholastica hockey team registered six goals in the second period on its way to a 7-1 victory tonight over Lake Forest College at Alumni Memorial Rink.
The Saints improve to 16-3-2 overall and 7-2-1 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA). The 16 wins are the most in a season since the 1985-86 season when CSS won 18 games. The Foresters fall to 5-15-1 overall and 0-10-0 in the conference.
In the final regular season NCHA matchup between the two schools both teams battled to scoreless first period. Lake Forest will join the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) next year. Shots were 13-10 in favor of CSS in the opening people.

Sr.-Fort Frances, Ont.) had the assist, which was his 112th point of his career, which put him in a tie for 15th place for most career points by a CSS hockey player.

After the Foresters scored with 29 seconds left in the second period, the Saints would score the lone goal of the third period when

AJ Tucker (Fort Frances, Ontario/Waywayseecappo (MJHL)) had the assists. Tucker finished with four points on the night, which gives him 115 career points and in 15th place all by himself in the program's career scoring list.

Sr.-Airdrie, Alta.) made 23 saves to improve to 14-3-2 this season. Scott Campbell made 38 saves in the loss for the Foresters. CSS out-shot Lake Forest 45-24.
The Saints will head to fifth-ranked St. Norbert College tomorrow night. The Green Knights tied second-ranked Wisconsin-Superior tonight by a score of 2-2. The puck drops at the Cornerstone Community Center at 7:05 p.m.
