MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES SECOND AT UMD INVITE

DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team finished in second place with 56 points today at the University of Minnesota-Duluth Campus Quest V Invite.

UMD won the meet with a perfect score of 15 points. UW-Superior was third with 65 points.

Freshman #Tony Bye# (Fr.-Chippewa Falls/McDonell) led the Saints individually with a ninth-place finish in a time of 27:31. #Jake Turman# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) was right behind him, finishing 10th in a time of 28:01. #Pat Bigaouette# (Fr.-Chaska, Minn.) placed 17th with a time of 28:40. #Kyle Smith# (Sr.-Wright, Minn./Cromwell-Wright) was 29th with a time of 29:30. In 34th place was #Glen Gross# (So.-Hoyt Lakes, Minn./Mesabi East), running a time of 30:09.

The Saints will take part in the Les Duke Invitational in Iowa next Saturday. The meet begins at 11 a.m.
