NEW ULM, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team remained unbeaten in conference action with a 3-0 victory today over Martin Luther College at the MLC Bowl.

The Saints improve to a record of 8-2-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). The Knights fall to 2-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the conference. The Saints are 14-10-4 against the Knights in the series history and have not lost to Martin Luther in 13 straight matches.


It took less than five minutes for the Saints to get on the scoreboard as #Jen Krokum# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East) scored her fifth goal of the season, with an assist from #Robin Johnson# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Marshall) , at the 4:40-mark to make the score 1-0 CSS. Then with 18 seconds left in the first half, #Ellyn Litecky# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East) put the Saints up 2-0 with her second goal of the season. #Angie Groh# (Jr.-Andover, Minn./St. Francis) had the assist. 


#Serena Carr# (Fr.-Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) made the final score 3-0 with her first goal of the season in the 85th minute. Robin Johnson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall School) and #Sara Olson# (Sr.-Phoenix, Ariz./Paradise Valley CC) had the assists.


The Saints dominated the contest, out-shooting the Knights 27-5. #Bailey Mahlum# (Fr.-Bismarck, N.D.) stopped three shots to improve to 7-2-0 and pickup her first collegiate shutout. 


The Saints will be at it again tomorrow with a road contest at Bethany Lutheran. The kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. following the men's match.
