MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 22ND AT LES DUKE INVITE

GRINNELL, Iowa – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team placed 22nd out of 26 teams with 611 points today at the 46th annual Les Duke Invite hosted by Grinnell College.

For second consecutive week, #Tony Bye# (Fr.-Chippewa, Wis./McDonell) was the fastest runner for the Saints as he finished 81st overall in a time of 28:38. #Jake Turman# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) was 89th, running a time of 28:46. #Pat Bigaouette# (Fr.-Chaska, Minn.) was third fastest for CSS with a time of 29:37 and was 130th overall. #John Bradshaw# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) was 152nd, posting a time of 30:49. #Kyle Smith# (Sr.-Wright, Minn./Cromwell-Wright) was the next fastest, finishing 159th with a time of 31:24.

Iowa Central Community College won the event with 130 points. Washington University (Mo.) was second with 137 points. In third was Hamline University with 144 points and Grinnell College was fourth with 154 points. Rounding out the top five was Truman State with 179 points.

The Saints will next compete in two weeks at the University of Minnesota Griak Invitational. The meet begins at 10 a.m.
