For the second game in a row freshman pitcher Kayla Jenkins (Esko, Minn./Esko HS) hurled a no-hitter for the Saints (12-19, 11-5), this time coming against Minnesota-Morris (5-11, 5-7) with a five-inning 8-0 win to open day two of the conference Crossover on Sunday morning in St. Paul.

Friday evening Jenkins registered her third no-hitter of the season when the Saints defeated Bethany Lutheran in the Crossover opener.

An early two run St. Scholastica lead turned into a rout with a five run fourth inning in which Kayla Kahilainen (New York Mills, Minn./New York Mills HS) hit her fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot that brought in Michaela Carlson (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson Senior HS) who had walked and stolen second.

Kahilainen also knocked in the Saints' first run of the game with a single to center in the first inning.

Jenkins moved to 7-9 for the year after allowing only a walk while striking out six Knights in her no-hitter.

Next up for St. Scholastica at the Crossover is a 10 a.m. game against Martin Luther College followed by their final game in St. Paul, an 11:30 a.m. contest against Presentation College.
