An unearned run in the top half of the third off Saints starter
Mary Jo McNamee (Escanaba, Mich./Escanaba Senior HS) put Northwestern ahead early but

The Eagles (18-9, 10-2 UMAC) took advantage of one more miscue in the top of the eighth for another unearned run then pushed two more across the honest way for a three-run lead. They shut the Saints down in the bottom of the inning to pull out the victory.
St. Scholastica (9-19, 8-5) had their chances with the bases loaded twice in the fifth but failed to score.
