The Saints rebounded from a loss to Northwestern College in the early game of a twinbill by routing Crown College 28-0 with a 21-hit attack in the nightcap.
The Saints jumped on Crown College starter Annie Emanuel in the top of the first inning sending 12 batters to the plate and handing their own starting pitcher a 7-0 lead.
Michaela Carlson (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson Senior HS) took to the mound for her first collegiate start and limited the Purple Storm (3-14, 1-10 UMAC) to just one hit and four walks with one strikeout over three innings to earn the win. Jen Shaw relieved Carlson in the fourth and completed the shutout surrendering only a pair of hits and a walk and striking out a pair over the final two innings.
Eleven different Saints registered a hit in the win with nine picking up at least one RBI.
Katie Brown (Emmett, Idaho/Emmett HS) finished 4-for-5, scored four runs, and collected two RBI while
