Host Bethany Lutheran College (5-7, 4-3 UMAC) went down in defeat 9-0 to visiting St. Scholastica (16-6, 6-0 UMAC) on Saturday as the Saints swept the season series by identical scores.
The win keeps the Saints undefeated in conference action to remain atop the UMAC standings while also extending their all-time UMAC regular season mark to 59-0.
Three doubles matches went the way of the Saints for a 3-0 lead heading into singles play where CSS closed out the match win with straight set victories in all six singles matches.
Angela Shields (Pengilly, Minn./Greenway HS)' win over Bethany's Caitlyn Felthous at 4-singles was her 8th win in a row, while Brooke Aho (Long Prairie, Minn./Long Prairie) -- 6-1 in doubles action for the season -- beat the Vikings' Alison Stavig at No. 6 in her first singles match of the year.
The Saints will close out a four-match road stretch in three days time as well as their regular season schedule on Sunday with a visit to Minnesota-Morris whom they defeated 9-0 at home earlier in the season on March 30th.
