Cobber Twilight women's results
The sprint trio of Alex Aarestad (Halstad, Minn./Oak Grove HS), Brianna Beilke, and Stacey Peterson (Gilbert, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS) had a fast day on the Concordia-Moorhead track Tuesday afternoon at the Cobber Twilight meet, helping set one team record and cracking the top-8 in a number of other races.
Beilke, Julia Curry (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS), Aarestad, and Peterson set a new St. Scholastica team record in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a meet-winning time of 4 minutes, 11.11 seconds.
Aarestad placed in both hurdles events, taking 4th with a time of 1:09.85 in the 400m hurdles and 8th in the 100m hurdles crossing the finish in 16.95 seconds.
Peterson doubled up in the top-8 with a 5th place finish of 1:01.58 in the 400m dash and 8th place time of 27.00 seconds in the 200. Beilke's time of 1:04.13 was good for 7th in the 400.
Curry, an All-UMAC cross country performer, coupled her relay record with a clocking of 2:29.37 in the 800m for a 5th place finish.
In field events, Erin Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) logged to top-8 finishes in the jumps, hitting the 4.66m (15-feet 3.5-inches) mark in the long jump for a 7th place and lept to an 8th place distance of 9.57m (31-feet 4.75 inches) in the triple jump.
